So I have had my Pacemaker for a week now and I have to say, I am really liking it. This past WMC the owner of Tonium happened to be staying at the same hotel that I was and I got the chance to meet him and chat with him about the Pacemaker. I was in awe from when I first got a chance to demo it. I finally was able to get one and I am very impressed with the build and function of it. The more I play with it the more I can actually see myself gigging with it.I just gotta find a way to make it look cool as it could just look like I am playing with my iPhone and how much fun is that. I do plan on posting my first mix with it shortly though.
I have to say, I did find it strange that none of the local DJ's in LA know what this thing is. I mean I have showed it off this past weekend with no one knowing about it prior to me showing it to them. I am a gadget fiend I will admit but I was hoping more DJ's would be aware of this remarkable tool. Is it going to change DJing?? Probably not...but it can get more people DJing...as this piece of kit is less expensive then 1 CDJ-1000. The more I play with the more I really do enjoy it. Now if I could only scratch with it!!! Maybe the next firmware update.
